Summertime Cocktails: Mojito Recipe with a Spanish Twist!

I very much love mojitos. But do you know what I like more? A mojito with a Spanish twist!! Next time you are in the mood for a mojito, try to make your own from scratch, and use the secret ingredient: Cava, sparkling wine from Spain.

Here is a recipe by Lourdes Castro that I modified.

Ingredients

1/2 lime, cut into 4 pieces

1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, torn, plus 1 mint sprig for garnish

1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon granulated sugar

Ice cubes

1/4 cup (2 ounces) white rum

1/2 cup chilled Cava, sparkling wine

Directions

In a tall glass, muddle the pieces of lime, the mint leaves and sugar. When the sugar is dissolved, fill the glass with ice and stir in the rum and Cava. Serve and Enjoy!
