Spanish Flavour @ Regent Street

I was recently in London and had quite a Spanish experience walking along Regent Street. From Picadilly to Oxford Circus, there are many Spanish stores bringing Spanish flavour to the fashion of the city. Some of the stores I saw were Mango, Zara, followed by Massimo Dutti (a Barcelona-based clothing chain with an oddly Italian name), Zara Home, Tous , Desigual, Hoss Intropia, and even a National Geographic store run by a Spanish businessman.

You might think this is not a big deal, but there is such a Spanish influence in London, that there will even be an event called “A Taste of Spain 2009” taking place on Sunday 31 of May (they will even close the traffic from 12noon-6pm). There will be  Spanish dancing horses, the classic Paella Valenciana and other gourmet items from Spain, flamenco music, dancers and other attractions. I just have to say, wow!!

A taste of Spain
